Shop Talk is a unique theatrical experience that transports the audience into the blue-collar life-style.
The performance takes place as a bunch of misfit carpenters assemble a Halloween mall display in a warehouse.
The audience observes from an elevated viewing area behind glass, and wears headphones that enable them to hear the conversations taking place in the shop.
The play explores sexual politics in the work place, combining nonchalance and arrogance of carpenters, along with the worst jokes of the Internet (as provided to the playwright in a relentless series of forwarded emails from an old pal in Quesnel, BC).
A play that dares you to consider a different perspective, Shop Talk, runs October 12 to 23, 2016.
