SKAMpede Young Company

Wanted: 15 bright young aspiring artists!
Are you between the ages of 12 and 17?
Are you excited by the process of creating and performing new plays?
Are you ready for an unforgettable summer experience alongside professional artists?

Then the SKAMpede Young Company is for you!

SKAMpede is a annual festival featuring professional performers from across Canada. A mobile audience travels the Galloping Goose and takes in 12 short shows. We are thrilled to offer Victoria youth a high quality training opportunity.

SKAMpede Young Company members will observe, discuss, critique and befriend national, provincial and local theatre professionals as those professionals rehearse and perform in SKAMpede. The Young Company will participate in workshops, discussions and rehearsals facilitated by skilled and professional teachers and have full access to the SKAMpede performances. After SKAMpede, the Young Company will meet daily for 14 days to create their own mini-festival of short works to be performed in a public space under a tent. What could be better you ask? How about SKAM provides lunch and snacks every day, too!

(Ages 12 to 17)
10am – 4pm (Monday through Friday)
Performances: July 25th through 27th in the Evenings
