What’s up with the newest SKAM shows you ask?
Matthew Payne took a working holiday, teaching at GIFTS this summer, which he parlayed into a partial writing retreat for My Memory’s Not So Good. The play is inspired by its co-creator Joan Mans, and will feature audio and video culled from recording sessions completed before Joan passed away last year. A technical work session at the Belfry is in the works to sort out these cues. This work will precede a week-long residency this October at the Banff Centre. SKAM will take Ian Case, Jan Wood, Lynda Raino and Spencer Sacht-Lund into a week of dramaturgy on My Memory’s Not So Good. Thanks to the Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation and Legacies Now 2010 for their support of this project. We appreciate the faith.
Cariboo Buckaroo rides again- on tour in Banff and the Cariboo-Chilcotin. The homecoming is planned for the last week in October with shows at the Intrepid Theatre Club. We’ll let you know when tickets go on sale.
